SikaLastomer®-511 is a high-performance butyl rubber-based sealant engineered for sealing standing seam roof and wall panel systems. Its non-skinning, non-hardening formulation remains permanently malleable, allowing panels sealed in the factory to be assembled and bonded later in the field without compromising sealing performance.

Designed for metal construction and panel fabrication applications, SikaLastomer®-511 provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of coated and uncoated metal substrates, including Galvalume®, aluminum, painted metals, and other common standing seam materials. Its flexible butyl composition helps maintain long-term weather resistance while accommodating panel movement caused by vibration, expansion, and temperature changes.

The sealant offers excellent pumpability and gunnability for smooth, efficient application in manufacturing and assembly environments. Because the material remains tacky and workable for extended periods, panels can often be joined months after initial sealant application, supporting flexible production and installation schedules.

SikaLastomer®-511 is commonly used for sealing standing seam roof panel joints, concealed end laps, and metal panel assemblies where long-lasting weather sealing and serviceability are required. Its non-corrosive formulation also helps protect sensitive metal surfaces while allowing panels to be separated later for maintenance or repair.
