DOWSIL™ 2400 Silicone Assembly Sealant is a high-performance, one-component neutral-cure RTV silicone hot-melt adhesive engineered for high-speed window and door assembly applications. Designed specifically for automated manufacturing environments, this 100% silicone sealant delivers instant green strength for improved production efficiency while maintaining the long-term durability and flexibility associated with silicone technology.

This innovative hot-melt silicone sealant is formulated for use as a primerless bonding and sealing solution in back-bedding and glazing applications. DOWSIL™ 2400 adheres to many common fenestration materials including aluminum, PVC, fiberglass, wood, and glass without requiring primers in many applications. It is also compatible with most insulating glass sealants, making it ideal for modern window and door manufacturing systems.

Engineered for high-speed automated dispensing systems such as XY tables and robotic applicators, DOWSIL™ 2400 provides immediate handling strength after application, allowing assembled windows and doors to be moved without compromising seal integrity or distorting sash components. Its long open time and pot life help improve workflow flexibility and production consistency in manufacturing operations.

Once cured through exposure to atmospheric moisture, the sealant forms a durable, flexible silicone rubber with excellent weather resistance, thermal cycling performance, and long-term elasticity. The cured material withstands UV exposure, moisture, temperature extremes, and environmental aging while maintaining adhesion and movement capability up to ±50%.
