Product Data Sheet

DOWSIL™ InstantGlaze III Assembly Adhesive is a high-performance, one-component neutral-cure hot-melt silicone adhesive engineered specifically for high-speed window and door manufacturing. Designed to improve production efficiency and assembly performance, this 100% silicone adhesive delivers instant green strength that allows window assemblies to be immediately handled and moved after application without compromising seal integrity or distorting sash components.

Developed for automated production environments, DOWSIL™ InstantGlaze III is compatible with robotic systems, XY glazing tables, and other high-speed dispensing equipment commonly used in modern fenestration manufacturing. Its hot-melt formulation enables rapid application while maintaining excellent processing control and productivity improvements over traditional tape glazing and organic hot-melt systems.

The adhesive provides outstanding primerless adhesion to many common window and door materials including wood, PVC, aluminum, fiberglass, glass, and coated metal surfaces. Its neutral-cure silicone chemistry offers excellent compatibility with most common insulating glass sealants, making it ideal for both standard and impact-resistant glazing systems.

Once cured, DOWSIL™ InstantGlaze III forms a durable, flexible silicone bond that resists UV exposure, moisture, temperature extremes, and long-term weathering. The cured adhesive maintains excellent flexibility and movement capability of up to ±50%, helping improve long-term air and water performance in finished window and door systems.

This clear, transparent adhesive features approximately 15 minutes of open time and is typically applied at 120°C (250°F) using platen-type hot-melt pumps. Its silicone formulation also helps reduce cleanup, minimize VOCs, and outperform many polyurethane and butyl-based hot-melt alternatives in demanding fenestration applications.

Common applications include:

  • Automated window and door assembly
  • High-speed glazing operations
  • Back-bedding and sash assembly
  • Residential and commercial fenestration manufacturing
  • Impact-resistant glazing systems
  • Automated robotic glazing lines
  • PVC, aluminum, fiberglass, and wood window fabrication
