Product Data Sheet

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Adhesive DP8410NS is a high-performance, two-part structural acrylic adhesive engineered for durable bonding in demanding industrial and manufacturing applications. This toughened, non-sag adhesive delivers excellent shear, peel, and impact strength while bonding a wide range of metals, plastics, composites, and painted surfaces — including substrates with light oil contamination and minimal surface preparation.

Designed for fast-paced assembly environments, 3M™ DP8410NS features a convenient 10:1 mix ratio with approximately 10–12 minutes of work life and handling strength achieved in about 26–36 minutes at room temperature. Its rapid strength build helps improve production throughput while still allowing enough open time for positioning and alignment during assembly.

The adhesive’s non-sag formulation resists running and slumping on vertical surfaces, providing clean and controlled application in manual and automated dispensing systems. Integrated spacer beads help maintain consistent bond line thickness for reliable structural performance across bonded assemblies.

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP8410NS bonds effectively to steel, aluminum, stainless steel, composites, powder-coated metals, plastics, wood, ceramics, and many other substrates. Its toughened acrylic chemistry provides excellent resistance to vibration, shock, fatigue, and environmental stress, making it ideal for transportation, signage, HVAC, appliance, and specialty vehicle applications.

This structural adhesive can replace rivets, screws, spot welds, and other mechanical fasteners in many assemblies, helping improve aesthetics, reduce finishing work, and distribute stress more evenly across bonded surfaces. Its durable bond performance also supports assemblies exposed to dynamic loads and movement.

Common applications include:

  • Metal and composite panel bonding
  • HVAC and appliance assembly
  • Specialty vehicle and transportation manufacturing
  • Signage and display fabrication
  • Bonding plastics and powder-coated metals
  • Structural bonding for industrial equipment
  • Replacing mechanical fasteners in high-stress assemblies
