Sikasil®-728 SL is a one-component, self-leveling, ultra-low modulus silicone sealant engineered for demanding pavement and infrastructure joint sealing applications. Designed for horizontal expansion joints and saw-cut joints, this neutral-cure elastomeric sealant delivers exceptional flexibility, durability, and long-term weather resistance in environments exposed to heavy traffic, vibration, and extreme temperature changes.
Its self-leveling formulation allows the sealant to flow smoothly into horizontal joints without tooling, helping reduce labor and improve installation efficiency. Sikasil®-728 SL is specifically developed for highways, bridges, parking garages, airport runways, driveways, plaza decks, stadiums, and other concrete or pavement applications where dynamic joint movement and long service life are critical.
Sikasil®-728 SL bonds effectively to a wide range of substrates including concrete, asphalt, steel, aluminum, masonry, brick, stone, glass, and ceramic materials. Its ultra-low modulus silicone chemistry accommodates extreme joint movement up to +100% and -50%, helping maintain watertight seals while absorbing expansion, contraction, and thermal movement over time.
The sealant offers outstanding UV resistance, weather resistance, and flexibility in both hot and cold climates. It is also resistant to road salts, seawater, diluted alkalis, and temporary jet fuel exposure, making it suitable for transportation infrastructure and harsh environmental conditions.
Sikasil®-728 SL is ready to use with standard dispensing equipment and requires no mixing. Its neutral-cure, non-staining formulation helps support reliable long-term performance while minimizing maintenance requirements for commercial and infrastructure projects.
