BISCO® RS-820 Firm from Rogers Corporation is a closed-cell, high-performance silicone foam tailored for applications that require a firm, resilient seal with long-lasting durability. As part of the BISCO Silicone Cellular product line, RS-820 bridges the gap between soft, conformable materials and traditional firm rubber gaskets, making it ideal for static sealing and vibration isolation in harsh environments.
With a density of 25 lb/ft³ (404 kg/m³) and compression force deflection ranging from 12–20 psi, RS-820 is engineered to maintain its integrity under high loads. It excels in extreme temperatures from -55°C to +200°C (-67°F to +392°F) and offers superior resistance to UV, ozone, and water, thanks to its closed-cell structure that limits water absorption to just 1.0%.
The patented silicone chemistry and cell structure provide reliable, long-term performance for use in gaskets, thermal barriers, sealing pads, and insulation in industrial, transportation, and lighting sectors.
