Sikaflex®-552 is a one-component, silane-terminated polymer (STP) structural adhesive engineered for high-strength elastic bonding and sealing applications in transportation, industrial assembly, and general manufacturing environments. This moisture-curing adhesive forms a durable elastomer that delivers long-lasting flexibility, vibration resistance, and excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.
Designed for demanding dynamic applications, Sikaflex®-552 bonds effectively to metals, painted surfaces, plastics, wood, ceramic materials, and glass without requiring extensive surface preparation in many cases. Its elastic formulation helps absorb shock, vibration, and thermal expansion, making it ideal for structural joints exposed to movement and mechanical stress.
Sikaflex®-552 features a low-VOC, solvent-free, isocyanate-free, silicone-free, and PVC-free formulation, supporting cleaner and safer manufacturing processes while maintaining strong structural performance. The adhesive also offers excellent resistance to UV exposure, weathering, aging, water, and many common environmental conditions, helping ensure dependable long-term durability in interior and exterior applications.
Its non-sag consistency allows for clean and controlled application using manual, pneumatic, electric, or automated dispensing systems. Once cured, the material maintains high elasticity and recovery properties while delivering reliable adhesion for permanent structural assembly and sealing applications.
