Description
Product Data Sheet
CHR 2250-2 is manufactured from 51 μm (2.0 mil) high-modulus PTFE film coated with pressure-sensitive rubber adhesive.
Features/Benefits
CHR 2250-2 exhibits outstanding dielectric and tensile strength properties which make it a durable insulation tape. The high temperature properties of the PTFE and rubber adhesive allow it to perform continuously at temperatures up to 163°C (325°F).
CHR 2250-2 also exhibits low elongation which enables it to be applied with automatic wrapping equipment. Other features of 2250-2 include chemical inertness, low friction, non-stick, non-toxic properties and clean release.
Applications
Excellent conformability and release properties of the PTFE backing make 2250-2 tape ideal for applications such as composite lay-up, roller wrapping, plate masking, heat sealing and other uses where costly clean up is a problem. The aerospace industry can also use 2250-2 in phase insulation for bundling end turns, spot bundling, anchor breakouts and to protect airframe wire harnesses.
