Surface Guard® PolyMask 3188 is a high-performance temporary protective film engineered to protect sensitive surfaces throughout manufacturing, handling, and transportation. Featuring a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) backing and an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive, it provides consistent high adhesion while ensuring clean removal without residue.

Designed for versatility, PolyMask 3188 adheres effectively to a variety of substrates, including painted surfaces, high-pressure laminates, plastics, and cultured marble. It is especially well-suited for smooth to lightly textured, flat or satin-gloss finishes, helping maintain surface quality across a wide range of applications.

The film offers dependable protection against scratches, dirt, and moderate abrasion encountered during fabrication processes such as cutting, forming, and assembly, as well as during shipping and storage. Its stable adhesion ensures the film stays securely in place throughout use, while still allowing for smooth, controlled removal when protection is no longer needed.

With a thin profile of approximately 3 mil (0.08 mm), PolyMask 3188 provides effective protection without interfering with part tolerances or downstream processing. Its durable construction also supports converting processes such as stamping and die cutting, making it adaptable for custom applications.
