Description

3M™ VHB™ Tape Max-160GF is a high-performance acrylic foam tape with a firm foam core and gray double-sided adhesive layer, designed to deliver exceptional strength, durability, and long-term performance across demanding industrial, architectural, and transportation applications. At 1.6 mm (0.062 in) thick, it provides 2–3 times the tensile and shear strength of traditional VHB™ tapes, enabling it to replace mechanical fasteners like rivets, screws, and welds.

Optimized for high and medium surface energy (HSE/MSE) materials, Max-160GF bonds effectively to metal, painted substrates, plastics, and glass, especially when used with 3M™ VHB™ Max Promoter. The tape ensures instant handling strength, and its robust acrylic adhesive maintains secure bonds even under thermal cycling, vibration, and environmental exposure.

The tape also helps create moisture-, dust-, and water-tight seals, contributing to clean, modern designs with hidden, virtually invisible bond lines.

Key Features and Benefits of 3M™ VHB™ Tape Max-160GF:
