3M™ Performance Plus Duct Tape 8979 has a unique product construction for indoor and outdoor applications. This tape is removable with little or no adhesive residue from most opaque surfaces up to six months after application. 3M™ Performance Plus Duct Tape 8979 is also resistant to delamination and deterioration when exposed to UV outdoors for up to one year.

- Clean removal outdoors for up to 6 months, or indoors
- Tested in accordance with UL 723 / ASTM E84.
- Easy to handle and apply. Moderate roll unwinding force, and tear by hand.
- Rubber adhesive bonds well to many surfaces with good initial stick.
- Moisture resistant and conformable backing.
- Strong backing with high tensile strength for demanding applications.
- Roll sides are de-tacked to stay clean, 48 mm only.
- Distinctive Slate Blue color. Also available in black and olive.
